Hi everyone
Welcome to this weeks Wizzy News – our weekly roundup of news and events at Wisborough Green Cricket Club
A slightly different format of Wizzy News this week because of the large number of pictures in this edition.
We report on a number of games this week which includes an incredible 146 scored by one of our senior players – and a host of other games with some great results.
We also remember our former captain Tim Monday this week, and have a large number of pics from President’s Day. We hope you enjoy them.
We have included the ‘on fire’ emoji next to player’s performance of note this week and we have no fewer than 3 honours boards because of the great performances – long may it continue.
A large number of Wisborough Green players attended Tim’s funeral service in Worthing and the Wake at West Chiltington Cricket Club on Wednesday.
A number of very touching tributes were read out at the service and many fond memories of Tim were shared. Our Cricket Club presented Tim’s son Jack a ‘Book of Memories ‘ where a number of players recalled their memories of Tim. Tim will be particularly remembered for the way he embodied the spirit of cricket and his positive outlook on the cricket field even when the rest of the team were struggling. He will forever be remembered with a smile.
