Wizzy News 11 May 2023

Welcome to this week’s Wizzy News.

We were delighted to have our first junior training session of the season on Friday – it’s so good to be back on the Green !

The weather dosn’t look too promising for this Friday’s training so please do keep a lookout for updates on our website tomorrow to confirm whether training will go ahead or not. We will try and make the final update by 2pm. Please click here for the link to the main page our website for the updates .

Newsflash : We have had to cancel training on Friday evening 12 May as the outfield is too wet.

Parking on Friday evening

Just a quick reminder about parking. We are expecting a large number of children at training again on Friday and with this comes pressure on parking around the Green. We therefore ask you to walk to the Green if possible and be considerate when parking avoiding the verges around the playground area and Butts Meadow. Please also be mindful of the implication of your parking on the flow of traffic around the Green – we obviously want to avoid any unnecessary risks caused by the build-up of traffic. There is additional parking to be found in the Village Hall car park, so please do make use of it if you can.

Many thanks in advance for your help with this which will be much appreciated by the wider village community

King’s Coronation festivities on the Green

Lots of colour , fun , families and food at the fabulous village Coronation event on the Green on Sunday afternoon throughly enjoyed by all . Many thanks to the organisers for all their hard work in putting the event together and a special thanks to Chris Marshall for the great pics.

Spotted on the Green

Sofia Farmer charming everyone on the Green last week. – already kitted out in her cricket jumper. Only a few years to go before she’ll be playing cricket on the hallowed turf. Great to see her practicing her chuckling at dad Jonny’s batting…….
If your surname is Vickery some things just come naturally. Grandpa Ken would have approved …..

And finally – Spotted in Twitterland

There’s always one ….

That’s it for this week.

Keep those fingers crossed for good weather 🤞 🏏☀

Cheers
