Hi lads

Following the highs of 4 wins on my birthday weekend we had the low of 3 losses on bank holiday weekend. A frustrating way to end the season and a weekend we all need to learn from as we look forward to next season. We have a wealth of talent in our squad but need to focus on our application of this talent on match days, along with ensuring we all enjoy ourselves, if we are going to perform well when we hopefully get a full season of cricket in next summer.

We must however make the most of the last few weekends, making up for a big part of the season being lost to Covid-19. With this in mind we have friendlies on both Saturday and Sunday welcoming two local teams in Slinfold and West Chiltington respectively. So lets enjoy the cricket this weekend – especially DJ, who is clearly looking to build on being top scorer last weekend, ensuring he gets two bites of the cherry playing on both Saturday and Sunday. He will be joined by Joey and brothers Dixon, who are clearly trying to make up for twice being dragged away on family holidays in the middle of a shortened cricket season, just so Tarni can rest his back!!!
