Welcome to the Under 8’s

General info

The Under 8’s and under 9’s group (School year 3 and 4) train on a Friday night on the Green from 6pm – 7pm from Friday 19 April 2024 to the end of July 2024

We cater for boys and girls of all abilities and backgrounds, and the focus of the training sessions will be to develop the children’s cricketing skills in a fun environment.

Kit

The club will provide all the cricketing kit and equipment so there is no need for the children to bring their own kit. The children will play with a mixture of tennis balls and wind balls so will not require helmets, pads or gloves. We strongly advise children to wear trainers as the sessions will be active and the grass may be wet at times.

Matches

We are aiming to arrange a couple of development matches during the season where the children can put their skills to the test . We will let parents know when these will be held.

Are you able to help ?

We are looking for some parents volunteers to assist with the sessions so please let the coaches know if you are able to help. Prior cricketing experience is not required.

Registrations

For those who have not registered before please click here to go to the Wisborough Green Sports MyClubhouse website to register. Registration costs £50 for the year which runs from 1 May – 31 March next year. Once you have registered please collect your membership card from the bar on Friday evening in the Pavilion which enables you and your family to benefit from member rates at the bar.
